Modded Rust server rankings

Any server that changes the rules of the game: higher gather rates, kits, shops, teleports, altered loot tables or a custom mode. Facepunch requires those servers to publish under the Modded tab, so a raised rate advertised on a Community server is a rule break. Plugins that only touch admin tools or chat do not move a server into the tab.

By player hours recorded over the past seven days, refreshed every five minutes. We do not take payment for a placing, and there is no manual editing of the order. A server that fills only on wipe night will sit below one that holds a steady crowd all week.

Usually its weekly hours fell while servers around it held or gained, so it lost ground by standing still. Check the server's own page for its player curve and last wipe, since a drop can follow a map that has run a long time or a rate change that did not land. The chart reports what the hours say; it does not explain the reason.

Yes. The mods run on the server side, so you connect with the normal game client and Facepunch's servers handle authentication. If a server asks you to install something from outside Steam, treat that as a warning sign and check the rest of the chart instead.
