Privacy policy

No sign-up, no tracking, no profile of you. Here is the short list of what does happen when you open a page.

The short version

Rust Server Rank has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not sell, share or trade anything about visitors, because we keep nothing worth selling. The rest of this page covers the small amount of data that passes through when you load the charts.

Access logs

Our web server records standard access logs: your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type. These are kept briefly so the site stays up and so we can tell which pages get read. They are not used to identify you.

Local storage

Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Cloudflare

Requests reach us through Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. Cloudflare sees visitors' IP addresses and may place its own security cookie when it checks for bots. That cookie is Cloudflare's, not ours.

Fonts and flags

The site serves its own fonts. The one outside request is on the force wipe countdown, where country flags come from jsDelivr. When your browser loads that file, jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser details. No Google services run here.

Cookies and analytics

We set no cookies of our own. There is no analytics script, no advertising tracker and no profile built about you.

The server figures

Everything on the rankings comes from public server lists and direct queries to those servers: names, player counts, settings, descriptions and images. It is about servers, never about individual players. Counts are totals, not lists of who is online.

Questions

Does Rust Server Rank use cookies?

The site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects every request, may set a security cookie of its own when it checks for bots. Your theme choice is kept in local storage on your device, not in a cookie.

Do you track visitors or run analytics?

No. There is no analytics script and no advertising tracker on the site. Ordinary access logs are kept briefly to keep the site running and to see which pages are used, and they are not used to build a profile of you.

What data do you hold about individual players?

None. The figures on the site come from public server lists and direct queries to servers, and they cover names, player counts, settings and images for those servers. Player counts are totals, not lists of who is on.
