About Rust Server Rank

This is the chart. Every public Rust server, ranked by the hours players actually spend on it, refreshed every five minutes.

Here is how the countdown works. We read Steam's public Rust server list every five minutes, with each server's name, player count, queue and published tags, and we query servers directly for map seed, FPS and entity count. Not every server answers those direct queries, so some entries show only what Steam publishes. From those figures we keep population history, wipe dates, settings and a rank for every public server, so you can check a fresh wipe, find a busy server in your region or match a group limit before you join.

Ranks come from player hours over the past week, counted hour by hour. A server that holds a crowd every day sits above one that fills for a single evening after a wipe. That is why you will see servers climbing several places on steady numbers, new entries after a strong week, and last week's number one holding or dropping as its hours go. No position is bought. Nothing on this chart is paid placement, and paid placements are explained separately on our advertising page.

Start where you like: the full rankings, the live player count, servers wiping today or the force wipe countdown, plus charts by region, mode and multiplier from the top of the chart.

Rust Server Rank is independent and built by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios, and nothing here is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images belong to the people who run those servers.

Everything shown comes from what servers publish about themselves. If your server looks wrong on the chart, the fix is usually in the server's own settings, and changes appear within about five minutes. If it still looks wrong, write to hello@rustserverrank.world. For anything else, the contact page has the details, and our privacy policy and terms of use set out how the site runs.

Questions

How does Rust Server Rank decide the rankings?

Each server's rank comes from player hours over the past week, counted hour by hour from public data. A server with steady daily numbers ranks above one that fills for a single evening. No position is paid for.

Is Rust Server Rank part of Facepunch?

No. The site is independent and built by Rust players, and it is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios. Nothing on the chart is endorsed by them.

How often does the chart update?

We read the public server list and query servers every five minutes, so positions and player counts move through the day. If your server's details look wrong, the fix is usually in its own settings and shows up within about five minutes.
