Here is how to read the countdown. Rank is total player hours, not peak count, so a server that holds a small steady crowd can sit above one that spikes on wipe day. The Players column is live and moves every five minutes; use it for right now, use Rank for the week. Region matters more than usual on this list because the scene is small: pick EU or US by ping before anything else, or you will be alone on a map with a spear. Next wipe is a countdown, and a ~ means the date is estimated rather than published. Group limits rarely need checking here, but gather rates do: if a name says nothing, assume 1x, and treat a 3x tag as the exception.
Questions
How is the primitive chart ordered?
By player hours, summed across tracked playtime, with the busiest server at number one. Paid placement plays no part; a server moves up by being played. Players counts and ranks refresh every five minutes, so a row can change between two loads of this page.
What counts as a primitive server here?
Any public server currently running Facepunch's Primitive mode, which strips firearms and leaves bows, spears and melee. Such a server can still be official, community or modded, depending on the other settings it changes. Servers that label themselves primitive but spawn guns do not belong on this list.
Will I find a busy primitive server in my region?
Sometimes, not always. The mode is a small scene and players cluster on a few servers, so the top of the chart may be several hundred ping away from you. Check the region column and the live Players figure before you commit a wipe to one.
Do primitive servers wipe like normal Rust?
Most follow the monthly force wipe, and a good number do nothing else. Others post their own schedule, wipe irregularly, or reset the map every few hours as a fast reset rather than a full wipe. The Next wipe column shows which, with a ~ marking an estimate rather than a published date.
On a list this short, a single quiet evening can drop a server several places, so do not read a bad position as a dead server. Sort by Players to see who is on now, or search the box for a region or a group size to thin the rows further. Movement arrows show the change since the last weekly count.
