How is the wipe estimate worked out?

We take the schedule a server publishes and compare it with the wipes we have actually recorded on it. If its recent wipes land on a steady rhythm, we predict from that rhythm. If not, we count forward from its last wipe using the published schedule. Every estimate is refreshed with the rest of the data every five minutes.

Why does the list jump on force wipe day?

Facepunch ships the monthly update on the first Thursday of each month, and every server wipes with it. Servers whose own schedule also falls that day join the same queue, so the chart fills up. Our force wipe countdown shows how long is left.

What does the tilde before a time mean?

A tilde means the time is an estimate, not a fixed appointment. The server owner sets the wipe and can move it by an hour or a day. Hover the estimate to see what it was based on, and treat it as a guide rather than a promise.
